Treats
NPC.LIFE is a tiny village that keeps living in your browser — you create one NPC and look out for them. A treat is a small, optional way to spoil them.
What a treat is
A treat is an optional one-time digital gift you give your NPC — about $1 USD (or the local-currency equivalent shown at checkout). It's a supporter gesture, the "buy them a coffee" kind of thing, not a purchase you need to make to enjoy the game.
How it works
A treat is delivered instantly, entirely inside your browser. After payment, your NPC visibly receives it — walks over, has their coffee (or whatever the treat is), says something about it — and the moment is recorded in their journal, the same journal that already tracks the small things that happen in their life. Nothing is shipped and nothing is emailed to you. No account is needed; a treat is tied to the browser session that bought it, the same way the rest of your save already works.
What a treat is not
- Not a subscription — it's a single, one-time gift, never a recurring charge.
- Not a gameplay advantage — it doesn't speed anything up, unlock anything, or change how your NPC's day goes.
- Not a loot box or a chance mechanic — you know exactly what you're giving before you give it.
- Not required — the game stays fully free, with or without treats.
What kind of treats
Cozy, all-ages things only — a coffee, fresh bread, a warm meal, a small pie. Nothing themed around alcohol, and nothing that would feel out of place in a calm, family-friendly village.
Price
About $1 USD (or the local-currency equivalent shown at checkout) per treat. When treats go live, payment will be handled by a third-party payment provider's own checkout — we never see or store your card details.
